Our Values

Native beliefs can be summed up in one sentence: “We are all related.” With the current climate and environmental crises, with people killing, abusing and exploiting each other for profit and power, Native beliefs are crucial in helping to change the mainstream mentality of “consumerism at all costs.” That we are equal and related to all living things is a fundamental truth that needs to be shared with mainstream colonized consumerist society.

Our Projects

Intertribal Spiritual Lodges seeks to promote the well being and revitalization of Indigenous people and their cultural practices, focusing on communities of Lincoln, NE and the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Our projects include: Roots to Rise Indigenous Youth Program, a culture camp focusing on traditional spiritual and ecological practices, as well as language revitalization; Geothermal greenhouses for the revitalization of Indigenous foods, as well as advancement of Native food sovereignty; transitional housing for Native men and women; alleviating food deserts by sustaining Food Pantries around Lincoln; and meeting the urgent food, clothing and furniture needs of the people on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Future projects include the construction of sustainable eco-friendly homes on the Reservation and possible recycling facilities.
